I Can Make It And Eat It, Too

I have to say, that experiencing 4 classes of cake decorating was super fun. Last night (last level 1 class), we learned how to make the rose. So fun. I am in shock, though, because I never had any decorating juice in me, but check out this cake! I made that! All by myself... I baked the cake, whipped the icing up, colored it, decorated it and VOILA! I start level 2 next monday. I wonder what's in store... Too fun!

I am so impressed! It looks like the picture was taken right out of a baking magazine. I have to know more about the frosting. We are having a wedding on our property here in May (my oldest son). My husband & I volunteered to make a wedding cupcake tower-with a smaller more "traditional" cake on the top...for the kids to cut. This is so inspiring!

This is totally stunning! And this was level 1? My goodness, I can't wait to see what you'll be making at the upper levels.

This is insanely pretty. You should be so proud. It's inspiring as well - just four lessons? It looks like it should have taken years to learn how to do that.

I'm going to have to get married again so you can make me a wedding cake. This cake is just like pro's make. You must be so proud of yourself. You talented little beaver. Love ya. ddl

That is gorgeous! You have learned so fast. I have to tell you what my almost 6 year old told me. I always make their cakes. I have made hula girls with barbies and piped grass skirts on a graham cracker beach, gumpaste bees and flowers, flower gardens...really a bunch of stuff...none of it stunning, but it was good, and very time-consuming. Kasi asked me if I remembered that rainbow cake we saw on your blog. She wants THAT for her cake this year. Thought you would enjoy that. Have a great week, and enjoy your next cake decorating magic class =D!

In an attempt to be supportive, my mother pointed out to me that you can see my personality shining through because the roses aren't centered. Was that a compliment? ;-/
