Pretty In Pink Or Just Overkill

I've been on a cupcake bath bomb kick like a LOT of people. I'm still working on getting my peaks (frosting) much higher. I have to tell you, when I leave out the bubble bath portion, I can get them much taller, so i think I'll stick with the original formula I started with.

Thought I'd hit you with el carnival cuppy cake! If you are in the neighborhood, I have 4 individual ones and a 4 pack wrapped up in a cupcake box tied with a pretty ribbon all ready for a party!

Now, I am ready for a real cupcake. DD, my cupcake friend who has a cupcake shop around the corner, I need a red velvet with cream cheese frosting - aaaaaaahhhhhhththththh!

Time For A Give-Away!

From now through Monday every comment on THIS post will be counted as an entry to win a Mama Bomb Coconut Milk Bath Soak and a Sexy Laundry Day Bath Bomb! You may enter as many times as you want, but you actually have to write something and it can't be a repeat/copy of a previous post. If we get past 100 posts, I'll throw in more. I will add a soap and a surprise gift.

Send your friends and GOOD LUCK!
I can only send the winning package to the US or to Canada due to the high costs of shipping. Sorry!

Now That Is Big

These look normal, right? uh-uh. The little one is 4.75 ounces and the big ones are 12.50 ounces. They are bigger than a tennis ball! In fact, they are almost the size of a softball! I recently got this great stainless steel mold to make these huge balls of fizz. I'm thinking they make great gifts. Hmmm. Maybe I'll sell them on Etsy.

These are scented with Brown Sugar and Fig. Oh yummmmm. Perfect for the holidays....

Grapefruit Bomb

I am loving the purple and green. Next time the green will be more intense and limey.

School's Out + Bath Bomb Success

The pink ones are yuzu and the green and purple are grapefruit exotica (new). They came out great and I am pleased as punch! The grapefruit ones are for sale on my Etsy shop.

On a sadder note, Tropical Storm (not hurricane) Fay has closed our schools for the day. 2nd day of school canceled. Let's get on a schedule, folks!

We are experiencing a stormy squall every 45 minutes or so, some lasting 15-20 minutes per squall. This is about as stormy as I like it. Windy, thundery, rainy, dark, but no wind damage and power outages.
Yet.

Oh Fay

So here we go again. Fortunately as it stands, Tropical Storm Fay will hit and the chances are low that it will increase speeds and turn into a hurricane. That is good news (no mounting shutters), but bad for my bomb making. It still is a tad humid inside, but I have cranked up my A/C this morning and we'll hope for the best.

There was too much organizing the kids for school over the weekend for me to make bath bombs. Today was the first day of school here in Florida. Yeah. Early. In NY, I always went back to school after Labor Day. It's hard to get used to the southern way.

Bath Bomb Nightmares

What happens when you have a particularly humid day, your air conditioning isn't cranking the way it usually does and you have a wholesale order for bath bombs? Throw a lot of citric acid and baking soda in the trash, that's what.

Lame.

Some days, formulating is easy peezy lemon squeezy, and some days it feels like I'm rubbing my face on sandpaper. Today was a sandpaper kind of day. No doubt about that.

Tomorrow, bombs will be made and I will show photos. Maybe. If they are good enough.

More Bombs...

I think they came out pretty good considering I've only been at this bath bomb making for a couple of months.  My favorite from the 68 bombs I made is the Yuzu with calendula petals (below).  They remind me of mellow yellow Easter eggs.   Or sugary candy....like sugar coated jaw breakers, but the size of a croquet ball.

These are some of them wrapped and ready to go.  Some of the others that went out in the order was Riceflower & Shea, Red Lychee Tea, Lavender and Dark Chocolate Almond.

I was having a heck of a time getting the right balance of everything.  Practice does make perfect and I kept at it, and it paid off.  Phew.  Now my fingers feel raw and my arms are definately feeling "the burn".

Bath Bombs And Etsy

These are my handmade bath bombs.  They remind me of the sweet colors of Easter eggs.  I have been slaving at this for two days, 60 bombs, 20 more to go.  I had to make them for one of my day spas in New Mexico.

I know it sounds nuts, but I started up an Etsy Shop called Product Body Lab Workswhere I will be selling things that are handmade by me. You could say these are my Lab Works Limited Editions.

Soaps, bath bombs, bath melts, and anything else I whip up. You never know what you'll find in my lab since it will change up all the time!  These are items that aren't available at Product Body, for a number of reasons.  Mostly packaging issues and the amount of time it takes to set up a new item in our line.  You could say these are my handmade fun items that I make just because.  They are safe, fun and since you deserve to
pamper yourself feel free to buy as much as you like.  ;)

Winner Of The Ruby Red Bomb

On Saturday I had a give away of a 5 oz bath bomb scented with ruby red grapefruit and colored with rose clay. The winner was chosen randomly from a holler across the house. "#17!" The 17th comment was a deleted comment, so the next up is Heidi!!!

Congratulations, Heidi, your bomb will ship out today- I hope you enjoy it.

Bath Bomb In Action With Desmond

He just wouldn't keep it in the water to show you how much it fizzed, but it was wonderful, and who can blame him? The darn thing looks like it's going berserk when it comes out!

Ruby Fizzie Bomb Ice Cream Scoops

These are my favorite bombs - and I made them! How exciting. The pink color comes from Mica and pink clay and the scent is gorgeous: It is Ruby Red Grapefruit to match our just released SUGARFOOT which also comes in Ruby Red Grapefruit. My favorite part, is that not of them cracked and they are ready to be shrink wrapped. I think I'll have a give away!

I have added (to Product Body newsletter subscribers only) a coupon to try our Sugarfoot and anyone who spends $100 or more at The Product Body Shop gets one of these 5 oz Ruby bombs wrapped with a bow and sent off with a kiss!

So if you are not receiving our newsletter and want to get one of these for a fun bath, then leave a comment from now until Tuesday and on Tuesday morning I will randomly choose a winner for Da BOMB and ship it out promptly.

Good luck and spread the word!

ps: These bombs are not for sale, so the only way to get them is to leave comments.
