Pictures Of The Shop

looking from the front right to the back door

looking from near the back door to the front (the front door is very dark in this picture. Just under the lit exit sign)

Brad, my husband, and I did all the work except we hired a plumber to install a hot water heater and to run hot water lines for our lab sink. We put in the floor, built cabinets painted, cut moulding, put up shelves.....etc. When I say "we", I really mean Brad. I was really there as the handy assistant who humped my butt off and worked and sweat alongside the master pro. Trust me, I worked like heck. He worked harder.

These two are only half done...

front half (shop)

back half (formulary)

So this is complete:

you could see the formulary in the back (bakery concept, sort of)

Now, these pictures were taken after the first day of retail, so our shelves are looking pretty bare. I will have to post more when the place is packed again with soaps and goodies and when I am not sick anymore.

(sniffle)

These don't feel like they show everything. I'll try to get it all in the next time, but you get the vibe...

OMG, OMG...it looks sooooo wonderful!! I want to spend all day, every day in there. If I lived where you are, I'd probably beg you to let me work there for free. ;D (Dh might have a thing or two to say about that.)

Gorgeous! I'm completely jealous (in the best possible way, of course!) of your new floors, work counter & sink. :) And your water heater. (My shop only has about 60 seconds of hot water at a time :( Makes for difficult cleanup.

Enjoy & create in your new space!

Wishing you every success... ~k

The space is amazing. When I walk in I don't want to leave. It has a warm, clean feel to it, it is friendly, a little exciting. I could spend my whole day there, but I have a job and have to go there. I love you Jo, best of luck in your new endeavor. Love, Mom

Love your space. Constantly dropping hints to the Mr. that it's either 5 hours to GA for some Paula Deen cooking or 5 hours to Jupiter for some good clean soap from Joanna! We are itching for a good road trip. Why come home empty handed? Finally launched my blog Jo! Check me out. safebeauty.blogspot.com

Please posts more photos or store updates. I've been thinking of you since this post and really wanting to hear more about the store, running it yourself and the ups and downs. You write so eloquently and I feel somewhat invested in your story and business now. So, I've been frequently checking your blog for updates. =)

Hey Joanna!
If I closed my eyes and started listing how I thought your store would look, I'd be darn close! :)
It's so stunning and has your prints all over it!!! I wish I could walk in the front door right now and hand you a ginormous coffee and a huge hug! You are a star, Joanna! Congratulations to you, darlin'!!!
