Product Body Cash Give-Away

We are giving away $25.00 in Product Body spending money. It's true. We will put money into your Product Body account (you don't have to have one set up yet) for you to use towards any Product Body online purchase. It's used like a gift certificate/cash and never expires. Fun, yeah? Here are the ways that you can earn entries:

1. Go to the Product Body website and look around...find a product you'd like to try in the scent you'd like to try it in and return here and leave a comment with your answer. You may leave a total of three of these (we know how hard it is to choose only one Product Body product).

2. You can also send your friends to do the same thing, BUT they have to mention in their comment that you sent them. You'll get an extra entry automatically for each person you send.

3. If you have your own blog and you post this give-away on your blog, you get TWO automatic entries! (let us know so we can add entries to your name)

Contest ends on JUNE 17th. So have fun browsing and good luck!

Product Body Challenge Winner!

I had a poetry challenge.  The challenge was to write a poem about a Product Body product.  I think this one was a hard one for everyone.  It took a lot of guts for those of you who sent something in. I don't think I could have done it so well at all!

First, let me just say that I loved (!~!) all of them (all three).  I have to give the prize to Gena Kay! Carrie and Teresa, I love you guys and I loved the love.  They were such wonderful poems.  I will post them tomorrow, if that's okay.

Here is the poem that takes the cake:

3:10 to Yuzu

Take three minutes or take ten,

Then take ten more and start again.

Try a Japanese bathing tradition,
Add yuzu fruit to your bath - or shower,

One whiff of your yummy yuzu concoction,

You'll witness the
Product Body Power.

The scent of this tangy oriental fruit,

With skin of yellow or green.

Transforms your skin into the most touchable,

Anyone's ever seen.

Batches by the bunches,
Mixed up with care by Magician Jo.

To create an enticing
Product Body Experience,
There's no length she'll not go.

Spring is in the air,

Not far behind is
Love.
Get your skin ready to be touched,
Soft and sweet as a turtle dove.

Love your skin,

With a love that's true.

Cane sugar, shea butter, a pinch of yuzu.
And everyone near will have a Crush on You.
And Yu,

And Yu,
Oh, and Yu, too.

Ok, as you know, I love give-aways, so stay tuned for more of them coming soon.....

Where is The Love?

The Product Body Challenge was a total flop. Other than the beautiful and talented Gena Kay, not one person wrote a poem to get the goodies. Shame. Gena's poem : 3:10 to Yuzu, is brilliant. I also loved that movie (3:10 to Yuma)

Perhaps poetry is not the outlet you all are inspired by. I'll have to think of new things soon, as I love to give stuff away!

Carry on.

Another "Why Florida Is Cool" Post

I have been so busy it has been a chore to stop and smell the roses. I love the sea air and the wind in my hair when I ride in my husband's Jeep, top down, tunes cranking so I was forced to breathe and relax. Thought I'd offer you some reasons why Florida is cool. In Florida, outdoors is always ready to have you over to hang out.

Paddleboarding. Not surfing...

Photo Credit: Reid McCree Photo Caption: Mike Karol of Port Salerno, performs a frontside turn on his standup paddleboard during the Treasure Chest Pro/Am surf contest Saturday at Stuart Public Beach. (20 minutes north of me)

My husband and kids did this last weekend with a couple that came from Maui and had these boards designed and made especially for them. It is so cool to watch. I didn't actually get on the board, but I enjoyed sitting on the beach and relaxing as an onlooker.

Gene Simmons - Watch Out!

http://images.askmen.com/toys/interview_60/pictures_60/91_gene_simmons.JPG

My son is wearing a Martha Stewart looking wig and straw hat, and pulls off a Gene Simmons look! Watch the video and you'll see where he gets his character. By the way, they did NOT practice the pose they made as they coasted by in the video. Total coincidence... from the same cloth.

Yes, the men in my life....

Sugar Cubes Are Worth A Free Gift

We've decided to run a sugar cube promotion. Why? Because we LOVE sugar! If you find a sugar cube in any Crush On You that you order from us, you will win a free gift from Product Body! We will insert sugar cubes carefully into every 25 Crush On You scrub we formulate. We will notate which customer it went to, and if you claim it, we will send you a $15.00 off coupon to be used at Product Body Shop the next time you shop with us!

Sugar cubes are not just for horses and coffee. ;)

Things About Florida

An old friend came to town a couple of weeks ago with his wife and daughter who I absolutely fell in love with.  It was my first time meeting Courtney and Maddy and we hit it off.  They are seriously thinking of leaving New York and moving somewhere completely different and are actively looking for places to move to.

Gary and Brad are good friends and I adore him and his whole little family.  They are considering Florida as a spot for possible relocation, but the heat is a problem for Courtney.  I have devised a plan to shed the light on how great Florida is, even with the heat, so that they will move here.... and soon!

Courtney and me

Once a week I plan on pointing out reasons why Florida can be wonderful.  Courtney, this is for you!

First group of reasons:

1.  The beach is 3 miles away and it is available every day.
2.  Look at these built in playmates!

3.  I love playing, too!

So this concludes the first installation of brainwashing.  (Let us chant)

Cake Clowns - Class 3

Cake decorating class was a blast last night.  We made clowns, which I am generally not a fan of, but they were fun to make.  Just so you know, the clown heads are plastic and they get inserted into the icing body.  The whole process I did myself, which is great because the only frosting I have ever done in the past was with a tub of Betty Crocker and a knife.  I actually baked the cupcakes and created the icing clouds and the clowns.

I had left over icing in my bags and two extra cupcakes, so the pictures below show me trying out some designs .  They didn't get home without getting banged around, unfortunately, but they were delicious....

Cake Decorating With Wilton

As one of my Christmas presents, my husband signed me up for Wilton's cake decorating class.  He knows how excited I got after I saw how beautiful bath cupcakes could look like.  Anne-Marie of the Soap Queen blog gave a tutorial (with pictures).  I was so happy for her when they came out so well after some sad bath bomb cupcake flops.  This is what the final cuppies looked like:

So you can see why I got inspired to expand my knowledge of bath and body and test the waters where I have zero skill:  Confections.  It is one of my goals this year to try new things where my comfort level is seriously compromised and be willing to fail when I do attempt a new thing.   Like cake decorating.  I have no more experience with decorating a cake past the can of chocolate frosting you buy in the supermarket and a butter knife.  Maybe some sprinkles and candles.

So I am out of my comfort zone with this class, 'tis true, but only because I have never done it and I am a bit clutzy with fine detail. This is an understatement, folks.

My class started last week, but we only talked and there was a quick demo in making the icing and .  Tonight, my class meets and I am supposed to bring in a cake, already baked and iced with the stiff buttercream frosting I am to make.  Hmm.  I know I should have practiced this week, but with work, company and other family related events, I could not get to the cake thing before today.

dd's Cupcake Shoppe

I finally went to the new cupcake shop that opened in Jupiter and it was pure heaven. The owner, dd, was truly a sweet and friendly woman, who has opened the shop because of her passion for the mini cakes. Her boyfriend, Chad, travels all the way from Miami every day to bake with her and help her business get off the ground. What lovely people! This is the shop and dd and Chad (I admit, my 7 year old took the shot of the two of them...)

The Shoppe looked much prettier in person with the holiday lights a-glow on the dark busy street... my flash ruined the night scene. It is an adorable shop and everyone should eat the cupcakes every day and give them as presents and share them with loved ones.

I didn't note the name on these. I call them Chocolate Ball Delights

Hannah Montana Cupcakes

Princess cupcakes

My son chose the oreo cupcake (not shown), my daughter, the princess cupcake and I, of course, chose the red velvet with cream cheese frosting and coconut flurries on top. Oh oh oh.
Here are my red velvets, folks....mmmm:

Would you like to see the magic trick of the disappearing red velvet cupcake?

yum

dd's Cupcake Shoppe is located at 121 Center Street in Jupiter, Florida 33477 and their phone number is 561-401-5636. If you are local, go see dd and Chad and buy lots of goodies and tell them I sent you! :)

Some May Say My Work Is Too Much Fun

And some days they'd be right!

I have been having fun playing with some toppings for the small jars of Crush On You we've been making here at Product Body.

The first one I played around with was the Crush On You in our newest Pecan Praline scent, which to me, smells so much like frosting.  I used Wilton red sugar sprinkles on top and with the sugar cookie batter feel of the Crush, it just took everything I had not to eat it (I think I have mentioned that before).  Well, it's true.

The next one was the lavender Crush On You which got sprinkled with tiny dried lavender buds.  It made them look so so pretty and peaceful.

The last one, which I made today, was Gardenia Crush On You.  They were adorned with anise star pods centered into the mass of sugary washy delight.  This one is my favorite look of the three decorated Crush On You(s).  My mother actually asked me to make small gifts for her friends so I got creative with the stars.

I became inspired by the soaps I have been reviewing so this is the beginning of my topping experiments.   Work was too much fun today!
