A Little Chef's Scrub

I have only found one thing that our Crush On You (or Chef's Scrub specifically), doesn't kill.  Scents and oily messes, that is.  I have taken off fish, garlic, onions, cray-paas, olive oil, glue, lard...you name it, our sugar scrub will remove it.

Except one thing.

Skunk.

You ask how I know this??  Well, I was at the dog park a few weeks ago and a giant mastiff got sprayed in the face and the owner asked me to smell his face and confirm that she was sprayed.  Well, the dog got excited when I put my face near hers and she lunged happily towards me.  My right hand stopped her from kissing my face, luckily, but my right hand had skunk oil on it for HOURS.

I tried Chef's Scrub Sugar Scrub and it worked better than I thought it would.  I've heard tomato juice, tomatoes, etc.... not coffee, lemon, sugar...my 1,2 punch for everything stinky.  That skunk just wreaked beyond Adam.

So perhaps a tomato basil blend is in store here at Product Body to deal with those pesky skunks.

What's your favorite Crush On You and what was the toughest thing it's helped you with (smell or texture-wise)?

Better Photos Of The Bubble Bars

My daughter, Nina, helped me make the bubble bars yesterday.  She chose the colors and scents and I think she's getting quite good.  You see how I groom her?  One day.... maybe she'll take over.  :o)

The Product Body Challenge

Gena, the winner of the Photo Contest in October (see winning photo above), suggested that I run another contest. Hmmm, perhaps her Product stash is dwindling.

Gena: "
I think you should have a poem writing contest similar to the Photo Contest. Contestants have to write a poem about Spring or Summer and their fav Product Body product. Fun!" I thought, poetry? Not sure if anyone would even try that. So I challenged her to start the ball rolling and this is her Product Body poem that has already won my heart.

-------
3:10 to Yuzu

Take three minutes or take ten,

Then take ten more and start again.

Try a Japanese bathing tradition,
Add yuzu fruit to your bath - or shower,

One whiff of your yummy yuzu concoction,

You'll witness the
Product Body Power.

The scent of this tangy oriental fruit,

With skin of yellow or green.

Transforms your skin into the most touchable,

Anyone's ever seen.

Batches by the bunches,
Mixed up with care by Magician Jo.

To create an enticing
Product Body Experience,
There's no length she'll not go.

Spring is in the air,

Not far behind is
Love.
Get your skin ready to be touched,
Soft and sweet as a turtle dove.

Love your skin,

With a love that's true.

Cane sugar, shea butter, a pinch of yuzu.
And everyone near will have a Crush on You.
And Yu,

And Yu,
Oh, and Yu, too.

------------

Don't you love her?

The winner will win theeeeeese fabulous prizes:

Crush On You, scrubby wash (of course!)

Bar of one of the soaps I made -
not for sale to the general public but is made by me - see below**
Bubble Rubble, solid bubble bath

Cream, cream

The poem will also be shared with our awesome readers, of course. Think about our products, think about Spring and Summer and send me a poem of any sort (Haiku, Carpe diem, Sonnet, Limmerick...be creative!). Email them to me at jo(at)productbody.com

All entries should include a title and be received by April 25th. I know, that seems kind of far away, but poetry can take a few extra days. I will post a reminder over the weekend.

Good luck!

I Can Make It And Eat It, Too

I have to say, that experiencing 4 classes of cake decorating was super fun. Last night (last level 1 class), we learned how to make the rose. So fun. I am in shock, though, because I never had any decorating juice in me, but check out this cake! I made that! All by myself... I baked the cake, whipped the icing up, colored it, decorated it and VOILA! I start level 2 next monday. I wonder what's in store... Too fun!

Some May Say My Work Is Too Much Fun

And some days they'd be right!

I have been having fun playing with some toppings for the small jars of Crush On You we've been making here at Product Body.

The first one I played around with was the Crush On You in our newest Pecan Praline scent, which to me, smells so much like frosting.  I used Wilton red sugar sprinkles on top and with the sugar cookie batter feel of the Crush, it just took everything I had not to eat it (I think I have mentioned that before).  Well, it's true.

The next one was the lavender Crush On You which got sprinkled with tiny dried lavender buds.  It made them look so so pretty and peaceful.

The last one, which I made today, was Gardenia Crush On You.  They were adorned with anise star pods centered into the mass of sugary washy delight.  This one is my favorite look of the three decorated Crush On You(s).  My mother actually asked me to make small gifts for her friends so I got creative with the stars.

I became inspired by the soaps I have been reviewing so this is the beginning of my topping experiments.   Work was too much fun today!
