We have a giveaway, a giveaway, a giveaway!  You could win:

1.  TWO handmade cold processed bars of soap (of your choice) from Product Body, and 2.  TWO of our not-yet released bath teas... (sealed in tea bags!  yay!)

All you have to do to get entries is “LIKE” Product Body on Facebook, if you haven't already, then go to our website, view our handmade soaps here and comment below with the two soap scents you’d like to try.  That's it! Come to our website to browse to see which soaps float YOUR boat, then leave your comment back here.   

You get an extra entry for blogging about this giveaway (just comment back that you did so we know about it).  If people comment and say that you sent them, you get an additional entry!

Bath Teas with be put on the site this week, hopefully by Tuesday or Wednesday.  These tea bags are chock full of skin softening powers and will make your skin feel better than it has for years. They include a citrus-y coconut milk, orange peel and sea salt blend, and a soothing bath sea salts, with milk, lavender, calendula, chamomile botanical blend and lastly, a botanical-free tea bag:  coconut milk, oatmeal, sea salts.  They will be sealed in a naturally biodegradable tea bag that will not spill the flowers, peels and petals into your bath.  You get the benefits of the ingredients without them all floating around and leaving you with cleaning up the "exploded garden" in your tub.  Just let the botanicals steep and the sea salt, oatmeal and milk dissolve.  You will be in heaven. and when you're finished with your tubby, simply toss it or re-use it.  Easy-peasy!

Raspberry Linzer Cookie Scent... Oooo

I had a wonderful note on my wall on Facebook last week from a fellow bath and body colleague who tried some Crush On You and Creme Fresh. She brightened my day with her note:

"OMGEEE~! I got my order today, Joanna-that Rasperry L Cookie Scrub is THE BEST Cookie smell I have EVER smelled!!!! WOW, my mouth is freaking out and my brain is Peeved it can't have cookies :) Also the Creme Fresh is now the moisturizer I NEED for my face. I'm Dying! Thanks soooo much :)"

I just had to share because I that scent is so "to die for" and I don't know if people are really believing that this is truly the real deal. It smells like THE COOKIE. A lot of fragrance oils say they smell like stuff and you get it and it's like, "huh? This smells nothing like blah blah blah." But this is the real McCoy. It is now a permanent part of our collection. I can't stop sniffing it. That's why.

My friend, Kim Pilla, made the actual cookies you see in this photo. I did not get to taste them, sadly.
Perhaps the next batch she makes she won't create them the size of her FACE. Then she might have some extras! ;)

Kind Words And A Rub

A customer sent this to me a while back but I found it today while I was going through some files.

I also had a separate experience with Sugarfoot just the other day. I was waxing my own legs on Sunday (ouch!) and was left with a lot of sticky residue and was attaching to everything. Ew. I jumped in the shower and scrubbed my lower legs with Sugarfoot to get the sticky off. It felt SOOOOOO good. It wasn't too harsh on my freshly waxed skin, and felt so perfectly scrubbed. I rubbed it on and it turned white as I scrubbed it in, like it was turning into a scrub-like-lotion. I rinsed it off and when I got out, my legs felt perfectly smooth and soft. No oiliness.

And I smelled like a fresh grapefruit. :)

It Can Happen To You

The shop has been opened now for three months and we are still fairly slow, but we are now getting "regulars" and they come often. A lot of our online customers have become addicts and now I see it's happening right here in Jupiter. Women come in to the shop with a sense of urgency, walk over to the shelves nervously twiddling their fingers, looking for their "junkie" product in their favorite scent and when they find it, you can see their body change shape... there is a release of tension and nervous energy as they hold the jar tight.

I keep getting questions like, "this will remain a permanent scent in your line, right?" or "is this soap one of your signature ones? You will always have this available, right? I don't think I can live without it."

I am honored that people like the products and I am doubly thrilled that the soaps are such a big hit here. I can't make some of the soaps fast enough. I am getting soap requests and I am up for the challenge. In the meantime, spas are loving our Creme Fresh and saying their staff AND customers are flipping over it and the jars are flying off the shelves. Again, one of the spa owners (my customer) feels a bit like a drug dealer because people come to her frantic when the spa gets low on inventory. "When are you going to get more?.... I can't run out...."

It's better to be a Product junkie than any other kind of junkie, so yay to that.

Unexpected Feedback Lately

Product Body gets feedback on products quite a bit, but in the last week, we have been getting some unusual feedback about some things our products have been up to. Who knew?

10/23/08 My sis has been using Mama Bomb on her baby son. He got "Fifth Disease" at a young age, and it turned his skin into something akin to a lizard, so we've been trying to remedy it with Mama Bomb. So far, it's worked better than anything else.

We Need Help

Do you love our products? Would you like to become a more involved Product junkie? Well, there aren't enough of us to go around, and between formulating, design, marketing, public relations, and all the other things that go into trying to build our business, we are seriously short of help making sales.

We're looking for people that are outgoing, friendly, honest, driven, and (importantly) excited about our product lines. We need help with both Product Body and Mama Bomb lines, so our ideal candidate will be flexible and able to articulate the differences in the two lines (hint: one is completely all natural and aimed at pregnant women and mommies). You'll also need to be creative enough to identify new opportunities and ways to approach them.

But first, you should know this about us: we believe that personal approach works best, and that you can't sell something that doesn't work for the person who's buying it. We believe that making the highest quality products we can speaks for itself, and that customer service is of the utmost importance. We believe in responding to customer feedback and giving our retailers what they need so that they can do business better. If you believe what we believe, you may be just who we are looking for....

Right now we'll be paying commissions, but no base salary. We'll set those commissions based on your experience, enthusiasm and success. If things work out, we'll be looking to bring people on full-time as district reps, so there is very real potential to grow with us. You don't need to live near us - you just need to be willing to call potential retailers and talk about our tasty products.

A Sweet Note

It makes my day every time I get a letter like this.  They NEVER cease to make me blush.  So if you feel one way or the other, I don't get tired of hearing the feedback, ever!  

I just got my shipment today and I am in love!  I got Pecan Praline, Sweet Mango Vanilla and Yuzu.  I love the Yuzu Crush on You.  My skin already felt like butter when I stepped out of the shower and the scent was so delicious that I hesitated to put on the Cream in Pecan Praline.  I am happy to say that I am just as enchanted with the Cream.  Hours later and my skin is so soft that I keep touching my arm and the scent is so warm and delicious that I am strangely craving some vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce.  I think I have found my Holy Grail body products.  I can't wait to try other scents in the future.  I told my husband about my great find and his response (besides the sigh and "oh great") was "is it expensive?"  And I said that "it's priceless".  He loved that answer.
